Agree with Yolanda HR management: benefits, employee morale, etc, all this is in the general "gestion sociale"

this may be a set of tools for HR management, that may also be subcontracted:

ergonomics of employee management

This word "social" in FR in fact has many meanings. Sometimes it is used in a rather coy way.

Yes, it *can* mean "corporate" but it very often has a meaning relating to "people" in an organisation, i.e. normally the employees. I suggest the reason it sometimes seems difficult to translate is because it is a "coy" way of being slightly vague about a sensitive area of corporate life: relations between the company and its employees.

The clue is usually in the context, as in this case: "chauffeurs". How are these drivers managed?

In other cases "social" can be translated as "social" but only when it refers to social security aspects.

In other cases still, "social" can be translated as "industrial", e.g. "relations sociales" could often be "industrial relations"... here we see that sometimes in EN we can also be a bit "coy" in referring to questions of relations between companies and their employees.
