"... an independent light which suggests a new way of..."
I'd avoid saying that it "sheds light" on something, but that would be the spirit of what is being meant.
I'd say certainly not, here... as so often, it can be a bit of a faux ami, since it is used in a far more restricted range of senses in EN than in FR — if someone suggested going out for the evening, I wouldn't in EN say "Oh, let me reflect about that for a minute"!
However, I do think your proposal of "that takes into account..." is pretty weak and passive, and not really punchy enough for the kind of marketing context needed here. Surely the underlying idea is rather one of "making you think about..."? And I think any translation needs to take that notion into account.
