Hello all, I have a query in a text on a fire safety system in a commercial building. The whole phrase (it's in a table, so the text is limited) is
rideau et porte à dévêtissement vertical
Something to do with stripping, but i have no idea how to phrase it. Plenty of French language references but nothing in English.
I would be very grateful for any kind help you could give!
Thanking you most kindly in advance,

French term (edited):
à dévêtissement vertical
vertical sliding
That seems to be what it is, if you compare Google images.

: Certainly "vertical", but not necessarily "sliding".

Your ref. (legal) is clearly irrelevant to the technical context here! If your disagreement is with the FR used in the source text, that's not my responsibility! How strange you have selectively 'disagreed' with only my answer, the others being similar!

Curtain and door with vertical opening

: I think it you want to use 'vertical opening', it would be more natural to place it first: "vertical-opening curtains and doors" (which also avoids the ambiguity of their being in a 'vertical opening'); I think this'd also include roller types?
