How to tell the difference between "easy" and "pro" questions:
An easy question is one that any bilingual person would be able to answer correctly. (Or in the case of monolingual questions, an easy question is one that any native speaker of the language would be able to answer correctly.)
A pro question is anything else... in other words, any question that requires knowledge or skills that are specialized (even slightly).
Another way to think of the difficulty levels is this: an easy question is one that deals with everyday conversation. A pro question is anything else.
When deciding between easy and pro, err on the side of pro. Most questions will be pro.
* Note: non-member askers are not given the option of entering 'pro' questions; the only way for their questions to be classified as 'pro' is for a ProZ.com member or members to re-classify it.

: The part about "répondait aux critères d’inclusion" might suggest it's a bit more like a study, or at least specific grouping. "Investigation" is focused on the individual though, so "study" per se does not seem best in that part of the sentence

Discussion
- the doctor confirmed that the investigation was necessary (the fact of the investigation being required);
- the doctor conformed the investigation that was necessary (specified which investigation in particular was necessary).
I suspect the intention is the former, but would check with the client.

I'd be careful with the first one as there is a subtle difference between the two possibilities.
Alos, I don't think that "investigation" should be translated as "test" or "study". We don't know. It could be something as simple as a simply questionnaire. "Investigation" has a meaning within the context of the study and it will have been defined or explained. I see no reason to use any other term.
