French term

Principe de non douleur

French to English Medical Medical (general)
From a personal injury report of a woman involved in a car accident:

Examen clinique
Examen effectué avec respect du principe de non douleur et accord de la victime

Is there a way of rendering this in English?

Thanks!

Principle/basis of not causing pain

Simply, that the medical examination was agreed to by the victim on the basis that it would not cause pain. (This requirement might have limited the extent of that examination.)
Peer comment(s):

agree Nikki Scott-Despaigne : Or ensuring that no pain would be felt. Perhaps just "no-pain principle"? This makes me think of all the work done by the CLUD (Centre de luttle contre la douleur).
