French term

gammier

French to English Tech/Engineering Automotive / Cars & Trucks
I hope someone has come across this before, as I'm truly stumped!

I've been working on a massive project where the end client is a major automotive company. The documents are all training materials, covering a wide range of subjects within the automotive field. This particular document is describing an assembly process called "montage en ring" where assembly takes place in a delimited area, in a configuration that is as close as possible to mass production, with designers and suppliers involved as well as the manufacturer, the idea being that any anomalies related to product definition are detected early.

The word "gammier" appears a couple of times in the document under a section entitled "Planification", as follows:

There then follows a list of restrictions, such as a half-day of rest every Friday afternoon (could do with that myself!), various other timing restrictions. Then regarding schedule construction, it says that the input data to draw up the schedule are as follows:

(I've stripped out the department names for client confidentiality reasons).

My instincts tell me that this must be something to do with the "gamme" of vehicles but I am truly stumped as to what it actually is! Can any of ou good people shed any light? Many thanks!

Ooh Inspired by your discussion entry, I dug a bit further, and I found the link below, which looks a bit like a sample book:

And this company will even send you their sample book for the princely sum of 7.5 euros!

I think it may mean "list of options". Here is a picture from a very different context: dog collars.
