What is the difference between unmolding and demolding ?
I want to know when can i translate démoulage by unmolding and when to translate by demolding ? is it according a specific field ?

I find that demoulding is more common in industry. I don't use unmoulding for my technical translations, though it's clearly in use in everyday English.

agree John Speese : I agree with Karen. I use demolding (with that spelling because I'm American) too. It comes up a lot in patents.

agree B D Finch : Yes, it's probably about avoiding ambiguity. "Unmoulding" could also mean returning what was moulded to its pre-moulding state.
