Spanish term

no deben depender... uno del otro

Spanish to English Law/Patents Law (general) Finance Policies, Procedu

My try:

The letters "A", "B" and "C" are used to indicate that they are signatures of different employees, which are [directly] independent from each other, except for the signature type "A", which is/represents the maximum authority.

"the first two signatures are independent from each other"

must not be... subordinate to one another

For "depender" in this context, you can often use "subordinate" in some form or other.

"...who must not be directly subordinate to one another..."

agree Adrian MM. : ... which employees must not be direct subordinates of each other... Not a good idea to omit the direct, as indirect subordinates may be way down the pecking order.

Thanks, Adrian, yes, presumably indirect subordinate relationships are permitted.

they must not depend ... on one another

"The initials are used to indicate that they are signatures from different employees, who must not directly depend on (or rely on) one another, unless there are cases in which the signature 'A' is of a leading authority."
