I suspect serrurerie comes with the meaning of "latches" rather than "locks". Maybe it can just mean "metal things", although I find no evidence of this.
"Latch structure fastenings"? It is not clear whether this expression encompasses the "staircase, guard rail", although that's how I read it. Alternatively I suppose it might be objects which are **attached** to the "staircase, guard rail".
Also unhelpfully uses the most weaselly of prepositions au droit de, which basically tells you nothing about the geometrical relationship between one object and another.

: I'd say more likely 'fixings of the metalwork' or 'metalwork fixings' — not least, to avoi any potential ambiguity with the fact that the fixings themselves might be metal. It's debatable even if the plural is helpful here at all...

Thanks. The important word here is fixings, since it is they that have compromised leaktightness, so I'd prefer that word first.
