French term

sur part

French to English Medical Medical (general)
Patient has left decompensated heart failure with erysipelas. I just can't work out what the "sur part" means

"Patient adressé pour décompensation cardiaque Gauche sur part infectieuse avec erysipèle."

Later in the text it says "Décompensation cardiaque gauche sur contexte d'érysipèle" which I have translated as "Left decompensated heart failure against a background of erysipelas" - is just some variation of this? The "sur part" is really confusing me.

TIA

Emily Gilby (asker) Dec 9, 2022:
I see what you mean. I didn't include the "infectieuse" as I know what this means, it's just the previous two words that are baffling me but I see your point
Tony M Dec 9, 2022:
@ Asker No, everything you wrote about your question appears to ignore the all-important 'infectieuse' qualifier, making it look as if you believe that 'sur part' is a stand-alone expression.
Emily Gilby (asker) Dec 9, 2022:
Forgive me if I'm missing something here, but isn't that what I wrote?
Tony M Dec 9, 2022:
@ Asker I'm no medical expert, but purely linguistically, from the feminine agreement, shouldn't this be parsed as 'sur part infectieuse'?

Note from asker:
Thanks Liz, I wasn't sure if the "part" might have meant it was partly due to infection maybe? What do you think?
