Hello,
A hospital report I am translating contains the following term: C10 J1 VIDAZA + TAMIBAROTENE/PLACEBO (essai).
This is just below the reason for the visit to the hospital.
Later on it says 'Cl J1 le 12/01/2023' in reference to the patient's medical history.
I am guessing that J1 stands for jour 1 (day 1, D1), but what about C10?
Thank you in advance.

"C" stands for "cure" in French which is translated into English as "cycle" or "treatment cycle" if you want to be more specific. The same abbreviation is used in English (C1) and as you have already deduced, J = D.

French term (edited):
C1 J1
Case 1, Day 1
Following the discussion, I agree with Phil that there must be an error in the French term, so I'm assuming that "C1 D1" reads, in fact, as "C1 J1".
Case studies are used extensively in many branches of research including medicine and clinical testing, and researchers will often label each case as "S" (subject), "C" (case) or simply with numbers in order to preserve anonymity. This is especially important in the case of double-blind studies, which are used extensively in clinical trials.

You're basically asking what C stands for given that this is a clinical trial. It can't be 'cure', because as far as I know that means spa treatment. What does it say just after this?
