Danke Dir und YYY sehr fuer das reizende Bild von ZZZ. Mrs XXX hat es in meinem Zimmer gesehen und hat gleich solche Sehnsucht nach ihm bekommen, dass sie **am liebsten** nach London gefahren waere, ihn besuchen.

I need it in English. I understand the expression in German (it's like my second native language), but I'm having trouble finding the equivalent in English. Thanks for asking

Hi Smash, Do you just need an explanation so you can translate it into your native Spanish, or is English actually your target language here?

would have loved to have gone to London

... she would have loved to have gone to London.

i.e. she felt such a longing for ZZZ that she felt like going to London to vist (him) right away.

she was dying to (jump in her car and) go off to London

OK - the jumping in the car is extrapolation

given half a chance, she would have gone off to London

that she almost jumped into her car to drive to London and visit him

since this is more or less idiomatic, I wouldn't translate it literally (I don't think there is an equivalent).
Peer comment(s):

agree Marivlada (X) : I like the suggestion!

she would ideally have gone to London

I think this manages to render the superlative element
