By University policies, since 2002 the journal has became online and it has a new ISSN: 1909-2474. Starting from number 21, Luna Azul became the official journal of the Research Group “Center of Rural Studies” of the Universidad de Caldas, since the members of the “Environment and Development” Research Group were now part of the new group. Today the Center of Rural Studies is classified by COLCIENCIAS in the A category.
