the plaintiff had moved the ladder 2-3 times Explanation: Not very clearly expressed in the original text, I feel, and, therefore, open to a certain amount of interpretation (I can quite understand why you are requesting help with this!). However, there is nothing in the text to suggest that the plaintiff moved the ladder towards (her), so perhaps it is best to just use 'moved the ladder' without specifying a direction. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 15 hrs (2010-12-16 11:11:36 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- Just a thought ... if the word 'med' (.. 'med' sig 2-3 gange) was a typo and it should have been 'mod', then your first suggestion (pulled the ladder towards her) would be correct. It would also read better (in Danish) than the version, which appears, which 'grates' in my ears. |
