site-specific performance Explanation: At first, I thought the term "on location" was pretty accurate. In cinema, it means (as you know, of course) that the scene or movie is shot outside the confines of a studio. Mutatis mutandi, the same could be said in regard to a theatrical performance. But when I googled "on location performance", I came across another term that seemed more fitting: site-specific. See the link below for a definition. I am aware that the term "site-specific" refers to those performances which can only be held outside a conventional theatre, whereas "locatievoorstelling" can refer to any old performance which happens to be put on in a setting other than a theatre. But in your context, i think it fits. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 23 uren (2007-12-19 14:27:28 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- Oops, I seem to have overlooked the fact that you had allready found the term 'site-specific'. Autant pour moi ;-) -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 23 uren (2007-12-19 14:42:04 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- I'll give it another try : "off-stage performance" or "on-site performance"?
