Explanation:
As LL did the groundwork, this is a supplementary suggestion based on the assumption that hefhevel = heddle, and the fact that the translator of the patent cited by LL apparently didn't know how to translate 'broekhevel' and simply dodged the issue.

neutral  Deborah do Carmo: hefhevel is lifting heddle (not just heddle), furthermore "forked heddle" has one hit worldwide, so I wouldn't be too quick to assume the patent translator dodged anything yet/appears so

  -> As can be seen from the drawing in the cited source, the item in question (whatever it may be called) is forked, which is what the 'broek' part of the word means. If all heddles have this form, then 'forked' is naturally redundant.
