vodka to be sold and served by the glass

In some outlets you can also drink "on the spot" or for "takeaway" in units.
Peer comment(s):

agree Alice Saunders (X) : has to have 'sold' in it, the sentence mentions that the vodka is sold (verkopen)

handout

Retail outlet stores habitually have employees behind stands handing out free samples or gifts to encourage shoppers to buy these or related items. We call these handouts.
Peer comment(s):

neutral writeaway : but it says it has to 'sell' this item in the outlets

sell on a serving basis

I'd use a bit of a work-around here, e.g. "to sell X on a serving basis in the outlet" or "to sell X wodka on a serving basis in the outlet".

@Stephanie: I can't imagine this having anything to do with gifts, since serving the wodka is clearly associated with selling. As to 'schenkstatus', I think this may be an indication of whether or not the product concerned is to be held on stock explicitly for serving-based sale, or, to use Steeve's suggestion, for sale by the glass. This would also seem to fit in with the idea of mandatory and non-mandatory or optional stock ('verplichte voorraden' and 'niet-verplichte voorraden').

'Serving-based sale', by the way, might also be an option here!
Note from asker:
In another document, there are 3 categories: schenkstatus, verplichte voorraaden and niet-verplichte vooraaden. Would this make any difference? Could this possibly have the idea of 'gift'?

agree Ken Cox : or something like 'for dispensing purposes'
