WHAT IS AN ORIGINATING MATERIAL?
Materials are used or consumed in the manufacturing of other goods. They could be in the raw or crude form, or they could be parts or components. The origin of a material is an important factor in determining the origin of the good claiming tariff preference.
A material imported into Singapore from a country other than the EFTA countries is naturally considered a non-originating material. For a material purchased in Singapore or the EFTA countries, there are two ways in which they can be considered originating:
1. Materials Wholly Produced or Obtained in Singapore or EFTA
