Credo però sia più riferito alle persone, in quanto fanno dei pasti e se li gustano, mentre gli animali mangiano forse più per sopravvivere, così almeno mi sembra, per dare una differenza tra noi e loro! :)

Nel senso che insieme al semplice rifocillarsi pratica una "cultura" del mangiare. Fatta di arte culinaria e regole conviviali, buon vino, piatti e posate...
In tedesco sarebbe più facile, si potrebbe dire "speisen", più nobile del semplice "essen".

è l'unico animale che pasteggia seduto a tavola
anche se non direi pasteggia- eppure l'ho scritto. Si sbafa.. si riempie lo stoamco - qualche altro termine non proprio "politically correct"... è solo un idea delle mie strampalate
