Eccone un'altra per i melomani: "The tenor *** brings his beefy, ardent Italianate voice to the role of ... The role gives him ample opportunities to luxuriate in tenorial top notes and unleash impassioned phrases."
Devo premettere che l'aggettivo non mi piace e lo considero "inappropriate". Non capisco neanche cosa voglia dire esattamente con riferimento ad una voce tenorile. Vorrei una traduzione che, senza tradire interamente ciò che intende il critico, ingentilisse un po' la frase in italiano. Grazie!!!

Explanation:
Io penso che si intenda "pastoso" che è un aggettivo molto usato per descrivere voci (rimarresti anche in campo alimentare). Ma non sapendo di quale tenore si tratti non posso sentirmi troppo sicura.
Gli esempi sono ovviamente tantissimi, devi solo vedere se pensi che faccia al caso tuo.
