Ele se diferencia da "Tela inicial" por ser um aplicativo iniciado antes e à parte da execução do jogo.

Normalmente oferece algumas opções como iniciar, configurações de resolução, link para o site oficial, desinstalar etc.

Após selecionar "Iniciar/Jogar" no Launcher, aí sim o jogo é executado e exibe sua "Tela inicial".
