English to Spanish translations [PRO]
Science - Botany / nombre de planta
English term or phrase: stonecrops
nombre científico "Sedum"
laura malo
Local time: 08:34
Sedum (capitalised and in italics) | sédum
Explanation:
Unlike in English, no single overall name exists for the plants in the genus Sedum. Some are called "uvas de gato". Others are called "sedos". And yet others are known as "siemprevivas". Therefore, I'd go for the Latin name of the genus or, if you prefer, the Hispanicised version put forward by the Real Jardín Botánico ("sédum", with an accent).
