English term

maximise store noise

English Bus/Financial Retail Exemplos: microbioloxía, ética/ xenética
"Maximise store noise from 5 year anniversary of 100% switches"

Most supermarkets in the UK have switched to Fairtrade bananas and this is what they "recommend". I take this to mean "have a noisy celebration in every store" but would like to check it out with native speakers.

Thank you kindly.

Noise is this use usually refers to a high level visiibility. It does not usually refer to sound, but it means to do a variety of things like publicity and advertisity that will build attention around the anniversary.

This webpage is useful in giving an example of the word noise being used in this way:

Publicity Stunt: The Art of Noise . .
A Book by Jonathan Hay

Publicity Stunt: The Art of Noise is the first book of its kind as it exposes and explores the noise behind the art of publicity. In this book, Jonathan Hay, a multi-platinum publicist, takes you on a journey throughout the music business, revealing the shocking schemes used on and by the media to gain worldwide attention for aspiring artists, record labels and celebrities.

The sound element of noise in the sense of publicity is the noise of people talking/chattering about the product or event or whatever it is that is being promoted.

agree Jennifer Levey : Yes - it's all about creating a 'presence' and grabbing attention, the same way auto alarms do when they go off under your bedroom window at 3 o'clock in the morning.

create a buzz

I'm not familiar with this term (hence my low confidence level), but it sounds like it could be the equivalent of "creating a buzz," a term used in the U.S. to mean that you are creating excitement and anticipation over some event or product.
