I think you mean "ruukki" (the stem of ruukki is ruuki - we add the case endings to the stem of the word, so it is just as important as the basic form), which originates from the Swedish word bruk and means factory.

agree Heikki Särkkä : Note, however, that the word is definitely dated, as is the concept. A 'ruukki' was the precusor of a modern factory, so perhaps 'mill' would be a better fit .
