graduate hospital nurse

A "hospital nurse" used to work in a hospital, whereas a "home nurse" used to work in home care. Later on, the term "home nurse" was replaced by another term meaning "health visitor"; whereas the term "hospital nurse" was replaced by the term "graduate hospital nurse", as opposed to a "certificated nurse". Nowadays, the term "graduate nurse" is used).

It semes best to put quotation marks around this term and maybe mention the French title (there is no official English translation). Would you need a UK or US equivalent ?

Belgo-Belgian problem. Context:

From what I can make out (http://www.infirmieres.be/brevet-graduat.htm) the complicated name is simply the result of modifications to the nurse training system over the years.

"Registered nurse" may well be all you need, possibly with something like "hospital diploma programme" in brackets (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Registered_nurse#Hospital_diplo...
