I understand the general idea - this is referring to connected on-board equipment monitoring use, performance, faults etc. I would imagine 'banc' = bench, but it there a standard term for 'banc de garantie'? I can't find anything online.

garantie also mean gage' here it may be a gauge box or bench having a cluster of gauges to monitor and inform the occurrence of a technical anomaly. I could not think of anything except it may be a cluster of gauges fixed to the vehicle .
