French term

DHY

French to English Tech/Engineering Environment & Ecology Waste disposal - type of waste
Type of construction waste in a diagram specifying the means of disposing of various types of hazardous and non-hazardous construction waste.

Liquid waste is a good guess, but I have not found any confirmation of this acronym elsewhere in the context of construction waste.
Goes together with DRI.

Thanks!

Wiki list http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_waste_management_acrony...

Unfortuneately these are only in English, so the acronyms are probably not in the right order ;-). But it may give you some leads.
Sandra & Kenneth Grossman (asker) Oct 13, 2014:
@Duncan Can you please post Déchet hydrocarbure..as an answer so I can give you the points? This is a very likely solution.
Sandra & Kenneth Grossman (asker) Oct 13, 2014:
Thanks Denise! Will do that!
Denise Pavao Oct 13, 2014:
If you Google "Déchets de matériaux de construction", you'll find sites that deal in construction waste. Have a look - maybe you could email someone at one of the sites.
Chakib Roula Oct 13, 2014:
Hello,
I think Duncan has provided very interesting leads.
kashew Oct 13, 2014:
A safe bet: D = déchets, as Duncan surmises.
Sandra & Kenneth Grossman (asker) Oct 13, 2014:
@DLyons Without more context, it's just a guessing game. I totally agree, unless I find the exact acronym in a relevant standard environmental terminology resource for construction sites. :)
Sandra & Kenneth Grossman (asker) Oct 13, 2014:
@Duncan Thanks for excellent leads. Hydrocarbon waste makes sense, radioactive waste is less likely, but I haven't found any confirmation so far for either.
DLyons Oct 13, 2014:
Could they be the units resposible e.g. Direction de l'Hydraulique

Without more context, it's just a guessing game.
Duncan Moncrieff Oct 13, 2014:
DHY : Déchet hydrocarbure..?
DRI : Déchet radioactif inerte..?

These are really just guesses. Don't you have an accompanying text with the diagrams that might shed more light on this..?
