Another way to think of the difficulty levels is this: an easy question is one that deals with everyday conversation. A pro question is anything else.
When deciding between easy and pro, err on the side of pro. Most questions will be pro.
* Note: non-member askers are not given the option of entering 'pro' questions; the only way for their questions to be classified as 'pro' is for a ProZ.com member or members to re-classify it.

: That really translates 'dessous de verre', but the rather informal term 'sous-bock' specifically connotes use in a bar, which makes it a beermat in BE at least.

A quoi sert le sous-bock ? En le plaçant sous un verre, la capacité d'absorption du sous-bock lui permet en premier lieu de récupérer la condensation qui se forme sur les verres à bière, lorsque ceux-ci, remplis de bière fraiche, entrent en contact avec l'air chaud.

Just guessing, as I bet that no more context will ever be forthcoming ...
