French term

coque

French to English Medical Medical: Instruments A sling/une bandelette
I'm translating validation and testing procedures for a sling (une bandelette tricotée). I'm assuming it's an incontinence sling but I have no specifics in my documents.
Examples of usage:
Under packaging stability:
l'aspect. L'intégrité des soudures est maintenue.

blister or tray

My understanding of coque is a moulded rigid or semi-rigid plastic blister or tray.

This is packaging for a similar product:
"For both patches 1 and 100 the whole manufacturing cycle must be performed in a controlled atmosphere, that is with controlled contamination, in a white room. Once processing is completed, the patches 1, 100 are placed in a ***double blister pack*** closed with a sheet of Tyvek to avoid contamination, and sent for an ETO (ethylene oxide) sterilization cycle."

"The packaging for the product will be changed from a double Tyvek pouch to a ***double tray system consisting of PETG trays*** and Tyvek lids. "

4 KudoZ points awarded for this answer. Comment: "Thanks Helen. I found other patents in the area once I stopped looking for shell and started looking for the inner and outer blisters that this device was packaged in."

Container (in this context)

This is a dressing, so its in packaging that has seals at either end - sounds like the text is asking for a visual inspection of the ensemble, and is using a colour change (eg you can coat sterile kit with substances that change colour on exposure to air/moisture) to show that the seals have remained intact, and the contents are still sterile

I woudlnt assume its an 'incontinence pad' on the basis of one Kudos glossary entry, unless there are some other clues in the text - may just be a 'sterile dressing'
Note from asker:
It's not an incontinence pad. It's an incontinence sling. Quite different.
