The trouble with "doping" is that it has strong connotations of cheating. That doesn't have to be a problem, but you can get round it by saying something like this. I've run the sentences together and made it shorter:
Each little burst of enthusiasm floods your brain with performance-enhancing substances that expand and remodel its neural networks.

: Although the term "self-doping" exists and that neuronal growth and remodeling of the networks are terms that are used in this context, your suggestion works really well here.

But I'm not sure the obvious answer, self-doping, would work. You could get around it by translating that sentence along the lines of "Each little storm of enthusiasm sparks off a process that boosts the brain in the same way as doping boosts an athlete's performance."
