UN VILLAGE ***POUR S’ÉPANOUIR***…
AU COEUR DES ALPES,CE VILLAGE DE XXX EST LA SOURCE DE JOUVENCE ET DE BIENÊTRE QUE LES FEMMES RECHERCHENT DEPUIS TOUJOURS.
UN ENDROIT OÙ SOURCE THERMALE ET TRADITION DE L’ACCUEIL FONT DE VOS SÉJOURS DE PURS INSTANTS DE BONHEUR. DÉCOUVREZ LE PLAISIR DES
MASSAGES, DU SPA ET DES PROMENADES APAISANTES DANS UN CADRE
PROPICE À TOUTES LES ACTIVITÉS. DE LA DÉTENTE AUX SENSATIONS FORTES,
IL N’Y A QU’UN PAS ET IL N’APPARTIENDRA QU’À VOUS DE LE FRANCHIR.
VOS VACANCES SERONT ENFIN PLACÉES SOUS LE SIGNE
DE LA NATURE, VOTRE NATURE !
The text describes the facilities offered by a spa in the French Alps.
I know there are many ways of translating this verb (s'épanouir), but none of them seem right here! Blossom, flourish etc. sound a bit silly and too 'French' in my opinion. However, I just can't think of what sounds right in English.
Help!!!
Many thanks in advance for any ideas,
Sheila

pour s'panouir
to soak up new energy or to immerse yourself in a feeling of wellbeing
The first solution stresses a bit more on activity
the second one means just leisure and wellness.
You can at anytime call at Engelbert Tourist office. They are very kind and helpful and absolutely fluent in English.
Kindest regards

You are right by the way: blossom out sounds too French. But, as a matter of fact, it's in the Oxford Concise Dictionnary. That solution is by no means wrong.

French term (edited):
pour s'panouir
to set off on a path toward self-improvement and expansion
I see it in terms of self-improvement and development that can take many forms from physical well-being to mental activities leading to learning, etc., as in the "healthy body & healthy mind" philosophy.
Definition
épanouir <8> vpr s'~ 1. (s'ouvrir: fleur) to bloom 2. (devenir joyeux: visage) to light up 3. (trouver le bonheur, prendre des formes) to blossom 4. (se développer: personne, compétence) to develop; s'~ dans un travail to be fulfilled in a job
(from Dictionnaire Cambridge Klett Compact)

Obvisoulsy the angle here is more on the "spa" so it tends to lean more toward indulging the senses but it ultimately leads to mental health, if you look at it as "healthy mind in a healthy body."

Some suggestions
Some suggestions that are not too flowery and silly to English ears (I think)
XXX village will bring out the best in you
give you a new lease of life
recharge your batteries
boost your zest for life
reinvigorate your passion for life
make you feel on top of the world
Personal care to bring out the best in you
I think I’d better stop there…

Look at the Answers:
A Village To Relax and Rejuvenate [grammar]
A Village To Soak Up New Energy etc. etc, etc [too long]
A Village To Peel Away the Cares of the Day [ahem]
A Village [??] indulge [what's that?]
A Village to set off on a path of self-improvement [etc, too long]
A Village to Relax and Feel Free [to?]
Comment: None of these answers is appropriate. Either because of the To or because......
My answer at least has the merit of being properly structured as a title.
If you don't like it fine; but please, at least suggest something in the realm of possibility!!!

you can't put everything in a title..overall it's Unwind and Get in Touch with Nature...this is Marketing, and all these Long, Laborious Titles don';t work in English

: unwind is jut relaxation it is not really synonymous with s'epanouir

if you read what the French says; it boils down to "'being one with nature"..that is unwind..to let go; it is not s'epanouir as the French usually use it
