German term

Liftverdampfer

German to English Tech/Engineering Food & Drink Refrigeration Devices for Food Counters

I thought Liftverdampfer might be a typo for Luftverdampfer, but not so. It appears again later in the text:

"8.2 Liftverdampfer

"Lift evaporator" sounds very strange to me. But I can't think of what the right term is. Any ideas? TIA for any light you can shed on it.

movable/liftable evaporator

The second reference (Wiha-Hakemann) has a nice picture of such a device. In the US patent reference, such things are described as being movable. In fact, since the whole point is being able to lift/move the device in order to clean properly, "movable" or "liftable" evaporator should be fine. The former might imply too much mobility, while the latter ("liftable") gives me a better sense of the fact that it is attached. Or perhaps other adjectives like "pivoting" (an evaporator which can be pivoted upward... assuming the whole thing doesn't lift -- I wouldn't use this expression without a picture).
