Für die Kalkulation des Aufwandes für Caementicium-Konstruktionen grundlegend ist DL. P gibt die folgende Formel für durchgeschichte-tes Ziegelmauerwerk an, das vom Arbeitsaufwand her nach DL aufgrund seiner strukturellen Merkmale mit den regelmäßigen Lagen von Caementicium vergleichbar ist: Mannstunden = t + 0,03 * t * (a−1) + 0,4/g; t = 0,8 h pro 100 Stück (Ziegel, caementa); a = Höhe der Mauer; g = Dicke der Mauer. Die Versatzleistung bei „rough brickwork“, das der ***durchgeschichteten Kernstruktur*** von Opus Caementicium ähnlich ist, wird von anderen Bauhandbüchern des 18. und 19. Jhs. allerdings etwas höher, nämlich mit 1.300−1.500 Ziegeln pro Manntag (effektive Arbeitszeit: 10 Stunden), beziffert.
