bryna till fin gyllenbrun färg Explanation: English: searing-to-browning, optionally sautéed. To me, it's a toss-up between bryna lätt (?) and bräcka, but query whether hell anbraten in Vienna (or Zürich) necessarily coincides with the meaning in Hamburg or Flensburg. For some reason, the melody of British hit song 'Golden Brown' is ringing in my ears. Example sentence(s):

stek tills livsmedlet får lite färg Explanation: Dünsten = fräsa, livsmedlet ska bli mjukt utan att ta färg hell Anbraten = steka tills livsmedlet får lite färg Anbraten = bryna, livsmedlet ska få en (gyllen)brun yta Grönsakerna i ditt recept ska alltså stekas tills de får lite färg, utan att bli bruna/brynta.
