Japanese term
示唆された
Japanese to English
Science
Medical: Pharmaceuticals
What is the best way to translate 示唆された in the following context?
結論:消毒剤とCLの組み合わせにより細胞毒性が異なる可能性が示唆された 。
I suppose I could just add the missing subject: "The results of this study suggested that..." But is there a better way, or more importantly, is there a more standard way used in scientific journals?

Oops... why did I write 'should would'... x(
By the way, in science experiements back in high school I remember wrinting "RESULTS" as a title, so I guess you should keep the "結論:" bit as is.

I think your answer is fine. "indicate" is also a possibility. If you have not done so, go to google scholar with keywords "suggest" (or "indicate") and the name of your subject area (e.g. biology). You can find many examples in scientific writing.

Discussion
In my case, I tend to use "We found...We showed...our results/findings showed/indicated", like most researchers/medical writers.
