Tourist leaflet on top 50 attractions in Norway: Bryggen i Bergen.

I know what it's referring to but wonder if anyone has a good translation?

The Golden Age of Norway

agree Roald Toskedal : You know, Bryggen was built in the Hansa age, which started in the mid 1300s, so actually Bryggen is more a sign of the decline of the Golden age after the Black death in 1350. So, I guess the translation can't be much better than the original... :)

The Norwegian might/majesty/power/dominion

Also, "reign" might be appropriate.

Maybe a tourist could make him(her)self aquainted with the pertaining terms for a display, and not just \'consume\' it? :)
Peer comment(s):

agree Per Bergvall : I like reign...

Ja, me too, but as Paul says here, we're dealing with a case where the author has been kinda clumsy...
disagree pamawa (X) : Doesn't communicate anything meaningful. Dominion might do, but what does it mean to a tourist?
