"På Bryggen står man ansikt til ansikt med minnene fra den gamle rikshovedstaden i det såkalte Norgesveldet."
I know what it's referring to but wonder if anyone has a good translation?

Norgesveldet var Norges glanstid i perioden fra år 1217 til 1319 (tenk på Grønland, Færøyene, Hjaltland, Orkenøyene, Suderøyene og Man. Tenk på grunnleggelsen av Tunsberg, Nidaros, Bjørgvin og Oslo) Bryggen er nok nyere. Likevel kan en vel få en aning av disse "forna dar".
