Totusi, in anii 80', ca urmare a sistarii importurilor- si inclusiv a celor de sina de cale ferata, combinat cu faptul ca "Siderca" Calarasi nu a intrat in productie la termenul fixat, au determinat ca in Romania sa apara o "criza de sina CFR", ultimile linii de cale ferata construite (Mintia-Brad, Valcele- Ramnicul Valcea) fiind realizate cu sina tip 49 semibuna (refolosita).
