clearance Explanation: I've a feeling you could perhaps use "ordnance" for muniţii; in any case, "clearance" is a word I've heard used in this sort of context, meaning removal. The other related word I've heard is "disposal" (neutralizare, I think?) which means making them safe. "Trained Explosives Ordnance Clearance (EOC) operatives for ordnance identification or **explosive ordnance clearance** work." http://www.zetica.com/productsandservices/sitesafe_uxo.htm -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 25 mins (2007-05-26 18:25:54 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- Here's an article on "bomb disposal": Bomb disposal is the process by which hazardous explosive devices are rendered safe. "Bomb disposal" is an all encompassing term to describe the separate, but interrelated functions in the following fields: * military – Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) * public safety – Public Safety Bomb Disposal (PSBT), Bomb Squad * civilian – Unexploded Ordnance (UXO) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bomb_disposal |
