bronchiectasis, (see also bronchostaxis and differ well)

Please take into account that there exists another term
BRONCHOSTAXIS = КРОВОТЕЧЕНИЕ ИЗ БРОНХОВ,
but, seemingly, the text which you are translating is simply not too exact....

Recall also that in English the two words exists:
bronchoectatic and bronchoextasic.

But I have never met combination
bronchoectatic disease or bronchoextasic disease.

As for bronchoectasis, this phenomenon appears on some advanced stages of chronic diseases of lungs (e.g., frequent or chronic pneumonia, chronic bronchitis, obstruction of tubular tissues, etc.). In view of an abnormal state of the tissue of mainly b r o n c h i o l e s, their space augments locally and forms bubbles which contain portions of serosity. Clearly, these processes violate normal circulation of oxygen and might lead to a variety of posterior diseases of heart.

The changed aerohydromechanics of breathing explains a specific noise which appear when suffering patients have difficulties in respiration, breathe in a specific manner, or wheeze. Diagnostics of this disease is usually X-ray investigation of lungs and collection of careful anamnesis.

Your Russian words seem to be a bit, say vulgar, so professional ones must sound as брохноэктазия, наличие брохноэктазов, but, finally, бронхоэктатическая болезнь.

Please refer to well-known Steadman' Medical Dictionary, which contains rather complete explanation of the disease, or say a SYNDROME. Ordinary people may call it disease, but it is not an autonomous one, it always is related to previous diseases of lungs.

Recall also that the idea about considering it as a heritable disease is not proved completely yet. Nowadays this syndrome grows in view of augment of smoking, worsening of environment, and increase of quantity of cars and air contamination.

What is curious, some lung diseases are related even to air conditioning (when the respective device has no air filtering system).

There are a lot of American websites related to healthcare. Try any, almost all of them have links to medical centers. Try yourselves also to put the word in upper into search engine (Lycos is quite professional, but Google is also appliable:).

Hope I helped to explain the use of words.

4 KudoZ points awarded for this answer. Comment: "Dr. Tagirov, thank you for another comprehensive and precise answer. (This is the second time you've helped me out of a jam). I found this term in a Russian newspaper article about a medical facility, and I have a feeling that the author might not have used the proper medical term for the disease to which he was referring, but I think your explanation is right "on the money." Thanks again, and all the best to you."

bronchostatic or possibly bronchiectatic disease

If as printed, would presumably be bronchostatic disease, which I cannot trace; but I wonder if it could be a misprint for bronkhoektaticheskaya bolezn - bronchiectatic disease.

Bronchiectasis (bronchiectatic disease)

There is a mistyping in your question while something as "bronchostatic disease" doesn't exist (by the way, searching the site suggested in the first anwer for "bronchostatic disease" returns zero).

Bronchiectasis is irreversible focal dilation (expansion beyond normal limits) of the bronchi, generally accompanied by infection. Bronchiectasis is usually an acquired disease, but can also be congenital and/or hereditary.
Hence the alternative names: Alternative names: acquired bronchiectasis; congenital bronchiectasis (see http://medlineplus.adam.com/ency/article/000144.htm)
The widespread use of antibiotics and immunization of children has decreased
the incidence and mortality of bronchiectasis.
