In einem Mietvertrag (Spanien) für ein Geschäftslokal heißt es in der Klausel „Mietanpassung“ wie folgt:

Durante el periodo de duración de este contrato, la renta vigente, en cada momento, será actualizada al inicio de cada año natural, es decir, cada 1 de (mes). A efectos de la revisión se utilizará la variación interanual del IPC correspondiente al mes de octubre previo a la revisión, es decir, la variación entre el IPC del mes de octubre del año anterior al de la revisión y el del mes de octubre del año anterior a éste. Por ejemplo, en la revisión de la renta que tenga lugar con efectos desde el 1 de enero de 2017 se utilizará la variación del IPC entre el mes de octubre de 2015 y el mes de octubre de 2016.

En atención al **carácter público y objetivo de los índices de revisión aplicables**, se conviene expresamente que no se precisará notificación previa alguna para la efectividad de la revisión.
