Hökensås got its name from the 100 kilometre (62 miles) long ridge which is bordered in the east by the lake Vättern. The ridge raises to over 300 metres (980 feet) a feature that contributes to its undulating topography of eskers covered with Scots Pine trees. The area contains about 60 small lakes and the in most of the lakes have transplanted game fish. |
