As an interpreter and translator who is in love with her job, I have provided services to various international humanitarian and political organizations throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina (details on it are available in my C.V.) and the United States.
The beginning of my career in early 1994 was marked by working as a field officer and interpreter for the head of ICRC and later on IFRC delegation in Tuzla, Bosnia & Herzegovina. In 1996 I had the good fortune of combining my technical training in the English Language with three years of practical experience with American bankers while serving as the Senior Lending Associate for the $250 million United States Agency for International Development (USAID)-funded Business Development Program (BDP) in Bosnia & Herzegovina. My responsibilities included, inter alia; writing up loan recommendations for potential borrowers in all industry sectors throughout Bosnia (e.g. medical, furniture, food processing, agriculture, textile, etc). Aside from my analysis, in more than 65 detailed and extensive loan recommendations, my work was also required to withstand the scrutiny of my spelling, grammar and overall presentation to senior American diplomats and banking professionals. In addition to writing loan recommendations I also performed extensive translation and interpretation services as part of American efforts, through the BDP, to mediate and reestablish economic ties between previously warring ethnic groups within Bosnia.
Ever since I have been working as a freelance translator.
My most recent assignments were performed for World Bank, State Department and Defense Ministry funded projects, IFEC, United States Institute of Peace, Federal Election Commission, US Department of Agriculture, State Department, the International Association of Journalists, USAID, etc.
I will welcome the opportunity to develop a business relationship with those who require my significant translation skills and abilities.
