Dear ProZ users,
I am working as tech/translator for websites displaying industrial equipments in 9 languages . Any help is more than welcome , even if I am an experienced translator , many years with Berlitz USA ! But with time and technology speeding up our lives I do feel somehow disconnected from reality. Translate from French to Italian afterword to English and reverse all day long, seems to have become a "task force" job type . So again when real precise and fair translation is needed all suggested trads from you guys will be helpfull.
I am glad we can find some help with "ProZ.com" site but when one single word is not well translated that brings mistakes leading to missinterpretation showing a distortion of original message! Companies have the absolute necessity to do business internationally they never really invested in that specific human aspect and now realize that business success is still strongly attached to simple exhange rules where " le Verbe" "la Parola" " Tradding attitude "become not only a simple tool but the number 1 motivation of the tradding' spirit.
Voltaire wrote " La Vérité au delà des Alpes n'est plus ...." " Passed the Alps montain Truth is no longer ..."
Are you not frustrated sometimes by stupid bad translation? Not only from book to movie script but simply by TV's speakers or improvised translator whom make look just num actors , sports champions....politicians....that could be fun to all of us ....but serioulsy when workers lifes and whole companies branches revenues are depending on us....we have to be serious...I did some phantastic translations job, happy or sad, related to wedding papers , birth certificate or for insurance purpose after catastrophic terrorists acts... I am still looking forward to go on and help any one ....!
