I am a PROFESSIONAL COPY EDITOR, PROOFREADER, and REWRITER of English with 34 years of experience in many fields. Former chief editor of all Mazda English manuals, Hiroshima; editor in chief of a national monthly dealer tabloid for Chevrolet, Detroit; copy editor with Business Week magazine, NYC; editorial manager with Daiwa Securities, Tokyo.

I stress readability.

Publications include Writing Modern English, a stylebook in Japanese and English for ESL writers. It was the No. 1 best seller on Amazon-Japan for 8 successive weeks. I have also published stylebooks in Korean and English (Smart English Expression, Seoul) and in Chinese and English (Writing Modern English, Taipei). Twenty years of work in Asia have made me sensitive to translations not only from one language to another, but also from one culture to another.

My extensive work with professional scientific, medical, and engineering journal articles has covered original drafts translated into English from many different languages, including Japanese, German, Chinese, Russian, Korean, French, Polish, and Farsi.

I have rewritten many books on medicine, science, philosophy, commerce, and education. Further experience in education includes grant proposals, presentations, theses, and PhD dissertations.

Affiliations include membership in the Modern Language Association and also in several international IQ societies: ePiq, Triple Nine, ISPE, ISI-S, and MENSA.

My avocational interests include playing classical piano works and collecting Asian antiques and vintage books in English.
