I qualified as a translator in Düsseldorf in 1995 and started working as a translator during my studies. I have translated two books in the area of literary criticism and have translated conference and research presentations on music and law.
Since 1993, I have also worked as a translation teacher and have taught at the Masters and Bacherlor level both in Germany and in England. From 1998 to 2012 I worked in Britain and have therefore acquired such a thorough knowledge of English in all its contexts that translation into English has become as natural to me as translation into German.
I have mostly worked in the area of journalistic and academic writing, but have also worked on business reports and module descriptions.
As I am also a trained interpreter and have an interest in films and subtitling, I would also be interested in working in those fields.
