Dir liegt die Zukunft Europas am Herzen? Du würdest dich gerne mit anderen jungen Europäerinnen und Europäern über die EU von morgen austauschen? Am liebsten würdest du sofort die Ärmel hochkrempeln und selbst einen Beitrag zur europäischen Zusammenarbeit leisten? Dann bietet dir das EU-Programm „Erasmus+: Jugend in Aktion“ gleiche mehrere Möglichkeiten, aktiv zu werden.
Zu den Initiativen, die die Europäische Kommission mit „Jugend in Aktion“ fördert, gehören die sogenannten Jugendbegegnungen. Im Rahmen einer solchen Begegnung hast du die Möglichkeit, mit jungen Menschen aus verschiedenen europäischen Ländern zusammenzukommen und für einen kurzen Zeitraum (5 bis 21 Tage) an gemeinsamen Projekten mit europäischer Dimension zu arbeiten sowie an diversen Workshops, Debatten und Aktivitäten teilzunehmen. Du wohnst zusammen mit den anderen Teilnehmern, ihr lernt miteinander und voneinander und stärkt dadurch euer europäisches Gemeinschaftsgefühl.
Oder würdest du lieber direkt in die Sachdiskussion mit politischen Entscheidungsträgern einsteigen? Dann ist der EU-Jugenddialog vielleicht das Richtige für dich. Hier hast du Gelegenheit, auf Augenhöhe mit europäischen Politikern, Unternehmern oder Wissenschaftlern über Themen zu sprechen, die Europa im Allgemeinen und die europäische Jugend im Besonderen betreffen, z.B. Jugendbeschäftigung, Chancengleichheit oder Klimawandel.
Fachsimpelei ist nicht dein Fall? Du möchtest lieber an einem konkreten Projekt arbeiten und hast auch selbst Projektvorschläge? Dann sind die „transnationalen Jugendinitiativen“ wie für dich gemacht. Im Rahmen einer solchen Initiative kannst du nämlich zusammen mit deiner Jugendgruppe und einer oder mehreren anderen Jugendgruppen aus Europa ein eigenes Projekt auf die Beine stellen. So hast du Gelegenheit, der europäischen Zusammenarbeit deinen Stempel aufzudrücken. Gefördert werden Projekte, die zwischen sechs und 36 Monaten dauern und einen Bezug zu zwei oder mehr europäischen Ländern haben.
Wie du siehst, bietet „Jugend in Aktion“ Möglichkeiten in Hülle und Fülle, sich aktiv einzubringen und Europa mitzugestalten. Egal, wofür du dich letzten Endes entscheidest: Der Austausch mit jungen Menschen aus ganz Europa wird auf jeden Fall eine bereichernde Erfahrung sein – auf sprachlicher, kultureller und persönlicher Ebene.

The initiatives sponsored by the European Commission with “Youth in Action” include those known as Youth Encounters. Das Brodt wird gerieben und in Butter braun gebraten. Alsdenn koche es mit Wein, Zucker, Zimmt, Nelken und Zitronschaale auf gelindem Feuer. Wenn es genug gekocht hat, so streich es durch ein Haartuch in eine Schüssel und richte es auf einem porzelänenen Teller, überstreut mit Zitronat und gehackten Mandeln, als ein Beygericht kalt an. Kreem von geröstetem Griesmehl wird auf eben diese Art gemacht.
533. Quittenmuus mit sauern Rohm.
Koche 8 bis 10 Quitten in Wasser gahr, mache das Beste davon ab, thu es in eine Schüssel mit so viel Zucker als nöthig ist. Schlage dann 6 ganze Eyer und 6 Eyerdotter dazu, rühre es so lange unter einander bis es aufgeht oder dick wird, und wirf noch gehackte Zitronschaale dazu. Setze einen Blechrand auf die Schüssel, bestreich ihn mit Butter, thu die angerührte Masse hinein, backe sie im Ofen gahr und gib sie warm.

The bread is grated and browned in butter. Then, cook it with wine, sugar, cinnamon, cloves, and lemon peel on a low fire. Once it has been cooked enough, put it through a sieve into a bowl and serve it cold as an appetizer on a porcelain plate, sprinkled with candied lemon peel and chopped almonds.
Cream of roasted semolina is also made in this manner.
533. Quail Puree with Sour Cream
Fully cook 8 to 10 quinces in water, remove the best one and put it into a bowl with as much sugar as necessary. Then add 6 whole eggs and 6 egg yolks to it and stir it all together until it rises or thickens, then add some chopped lemon peels to it. Place a crust in the bowl, coat it with butter, add the stirred mixture to it, bake it in the oven and serve it warm.
