Portuguese to English: THERMOPHOSPHATES EFFICIENCY IN SOILS WITH DIFFERENT INITIAL PHOSPHORUS CONCENTRATION General field: Science Detailed field: Agriculture
Translation - English Phosphate fertilization on tropical soils has very variable efficiency, according to the P source, soil properties, vegetal specie, among other factors. In order to verify thermophosphates (TPs) agronomic efficiency, this experiment was conducted in two soils with different phosphorus initial concentration. The indicator plants were millet (Pennisetum glaucum (L.) R. Br.) in a first cycle, and maize (Zea mays) in a second cycle. The soil with medium concentration of P was collected in an agricultural production area, and the soil with low concentration of P was collected adjacent to the production area, in a natural forest, both are the same soil, a Nitosol. The experiment was developed in a greenhouse, four phosphate fertilizers were evaluated (magnesium thermophosphate (TM), potassium thermophosphate (TK), coarse thermophosphate (TC)), using triple superphosphate (ST) as reference. Plants shoot dry matter weight, soil and plant chemical composition were evaluated and Agronomic Efficiency Index (AEI) calculated.

Bio
Hello, my name is Juliana, I am a translator and a sustainable farming consultant.
About my experience I have worked as technical proofreader and translator at a multinational company of plant protection products. I worked as chief agronomist engineer of some farms for 7 years. I developed scientific works in two universities (the University of Florida and the University of São Paulo state) including my Master of Science in agriculture, totaling 3 years. Since 2021 I am a freelancetranslator (general, engineer, and agronomy topics) and sustainable agronomy consultant.
