francés al inglés: excerpt from 'Les Techniques d'Illumination chez Georges Bataille' by Jean Bruno Detailed field: Poesía y literatura
d’approche.
Traducción - inglés The mystical experience must suffice unto itself. Its ability to intoxicate, its unpredictability, and the perspectives that it opens (in all forms of thought) enrich existence and sometimes consume it. When it came upon him unexpectedly, ecstasy inevitably filled Bataille with the desire to live at a more exultant level. Nevertheless, as his 'experience' progressed, he felt the need to share it with others. At the end of letters where his first grand enlightenment became evident, he said: 'I would like to make accessible to all people (happy in the pleasures of the world, unbelievers) the raptures that may have seemed farthest from them.' He described the goal based on paths that he himself had traveled. Despite the impact that his three works had had in just a few years (Inner Experience - 1943, Guilty - 1944, and On Nietzsche - 1945), it often seemed to him that the main point had not been truly understood. The pages that follow by no means aim to develop the complex entry into and all the implications of the 'inner experience', nor to comparatively evaluate its level, but to analyse the techniques of approach.
