French to English: Translation of a website dedicated to German shepherds (about 15000 words)
Translation - English A puppy from a pedigree lineage must be friendly with people. It must not run away from them but, on the contrary, seek out their presence.
When an owner wants to emphasize the guarding instinct, he should keep his puppy away from strangers at an early age. Thus, if the owner wishes to be protected by his dog, he should confine his puppy, and later the adult dog, during strangers’ visits. Furthermore, by confining his dog when he is visited by strangers, the owner gives the impression that the dog is “protector”. Indeed, the unknown visitor thinks that “if the dog is closed in, that it must be dangerous” and will then be careful. On the other hand, if the owner does not want to be a slave to his mean dog, he must maintain the puppy’s sociability outside the house, by taking it out for a walk, approaching people, allowing strangers to be friendly with your dog and letting your dog play with children or other dogs.

Experience
Years of experience: 16. Registered at ProZ.com: Nov 2008.
With neither a degree, nor certificate in translation, I simply have a Masters in Management, with a strong legal background.
Translation is not my job. So how can I offer such services?
It is because of my love of languages and resulting fluency in them that I am able to translate accurately from both English and Spanish to my mother tongue, French, adapting according to style, format and subject matter.
For me, translating is an excellent way to combine business with pleasure.
I work as administrative and accounting manager in a small estate agency and love translating in my spare time.
Obviously I cannot be available 100% of the time because of work commitments. However, I can do both small urgent translations and larger ones given a longer deadline.
So? Ready for a new collaboration?
