Do we know the context? I suspect - having spent five years in strategy/operations consulting - that it is one of those words that can mean everything and nothing. I would go with "business framework," again not knowing the context. I am ashamed to say that I might have used the phrase once or twice (along with "business parameters" - arrgghh) :-)

This is what L&H Business Fagordbog suggests, but it does smell a bit of dictionary to me...
Svensson's Økonomisk Ordbog has the following:
business; business foundation; business goals; if = mission: company/corporate mission.

All of which correspond nicely with some of the other suggestions, so take your pick :-)
